1961 Brantly B2B S/N115/ N5972X/ 1517.3 TTSN

This helicopter was originally a B-2A and was converted to a B2B in March 1977 (Fuel injection and a duel fan cooling system.) The helicopter has spent most of the last 10 years in a hangar, the previous owner could not fly due to medical issues. The instruments were all sent out for test and calibration in 2002 (yellow tags issued.) The Lycoming Engine (IVO-360-A1A S/N L-210-58) has 1754.3 TT and only 240.4 SMOH, all ADs current to 2002.  Please see pictures for the Life Limited Component Time Sheet. This aircraft is in great shape for its age! Similar to the Robinson R-22, this is a two-seat piston helicopter. The usable load is around 600 lbs and range is about 3hrs at 80mph (240Mi.) Unlike the R22, this helicopter has no electric ”governor”.  However, the corilator is very adequate.  Minor throttle adjustments are required but after a few hours it becomes second nature. The fully articulated, three-bladed rotor system offers a smooth ride and much more rotor enertia than it’s little brother (R-22).  These are great little helicopters and lots of time left on life limited components. This would be a great time builder!

Good luck!
