THIS AIRPLANE HAS A P-PONK STC FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A HEAVILY MODIFIED O470 ENGINE WHICH PRODUCES 265/275HP!!  CALLED THE SUPER EAGLE, IT IS THE HIGHEST  HORSEPOWER YOU CAN PUT INTO A 182!!


 


THIS ENGINE WAS STC’D AND INSTALLED ON THIS AIRPLANE IN 1994 AND WAS A FACTORY ZERO TIME EQUIVALENT AT INSTALLATION.  WITH 1299 HOURS SINCE MAJOR AT THIS TIME, BUT WITH ONLY 650 SINCE A COMPLETE BOTTOM END OVERHAUL,  INCLUDING A PHASE III CASE, AND 7TH STUD MOD, AND ONLY 62 HOURS SINCE ALL 6 CYLINDERS WERE REWORKED, THE FUNCTIONAL TIME ON THE ENGINE IS ACTUALLY MUCH LESS!!


 


BY BASICALLY ADAPTING IO520 CYLINDERS TO THE LATEST STYLE HEAVY CASE 7TH STUD ENGINE, WITH INTAKE AND CARB MODS, THIS SUPER SKYLANE TAKES OFF, CLIMBS AND CRUISES LIKE NO MERE MORTAL 182!!


 


FLY FROM A SHORT STRIP, OPERATE HEAVY OR HOT, OR GO FAST !!   LIKE THE COST,  SIMPLICITY AND RUGGEDNESS OF A 182, BUT WANT MORE OF A 206 PERFORMANCE?   THEN, THIS IS THE COMBINATION!!


 



 


THIS AIRPLANE SUSTAINED DAMAGE WHEN IT BOUNCED A LANDING AND DEPARTED THE SIDE OF THE RUNWAY.   THE AIRPLANE FISHTAILED SOMEWHAT AND THE NOSEGEAR COLLAPSED. 


 


DAMAGE WAS SUSTAINED  TO THE FRONT END AND LEFT WING.


 


THE NOSEGEAR PULLED FROM ITS MOUNTING BRACKETS, WHICH ARE DAMAGED.  THE GEAR STRUT AND FORK MAY BE UNDAMAGED.


 


THE FIREWALL IS DAMAGED BUT THE MOTOR MOUNT MAY BE OK. THE FIRST BELLY AND FIRST FUSELAGE SIDE SKINS ARE DAMAGED FROM THE NOSEGEAR DEPARTING


 


THE LOWER COWL IS DAMAGED BUT THE UPPER LOOKS OK.


 


THE CARB AIR BOX IS DAMAGED BUT THE CARB IS NOT DAMAGED


 


THE LEFT WING IS DAMAGED ON THE OUTBOARD LEADING EDGE, AND THE OUTBOARD DAMAGE PUSHED THE REAR ATTACHMENT POINT AND THE FLAP CORNER INTO THE SIDE OF THE FUSELAGE WHICH CRACKED THE REAR WINDOW ON THAT SIDE.


 


THE MAIN GEAR AND GEARBOX SHOWS NO DAMAGE, AND IN FACT, THE REST OF THE AIRPLANE SHOWS NO OTHER DAMAGE!!


 


ALL CONTROL SURFACES EXCEPT THE LEFT FLAP LOOK GOOD!!


 


THIS VERY PRETTY, SUPER WELL MAINTAINED AIRPORT IS JUST BEGGING FOR A NEW OWNER TO FIX HER UP AGAIN AND GO EXPLORING!!


 


 


THE AVIONICS PANEL UNITS HAVE BEEN REMOVED, BUT ALL FLIGHT AND ENGINE INSTRUMENTATION IS INSTALLED, INCLUDING THESE EXTRAS:
