Used Helicopter

Please read carefully:  This auction is for a complete kit (sans windscreen) for a Rotorway 162-F helicopter.  LEAD PHOTO IS A “FILE PHOTO” OF WHAT A COMPLETED HELICOPTER LOOKS LIKE, NOT THE ACTUAL AUCTION.  Kit was sold approximately ten years ago and the buyer was unable to complete it.  The kit was partially assembled then taken apart in order to paint the frame.  All parts, instruments, and documentation (including all volumes of assembly instructions) appear to be there except for the windscreen which is available from Rotorway for approximately $1900 (I called them a few months ago to verify this).  Engine is factory new with zero hours.  Rotors are still boxed in factory crate and packing material.   Price of the kit was $60,000 when purchased about ten years ago, and my reserve price is less than half that.  The current Rotorway kit sells for about $100,000.  There are no aftermarket additions to this kit, it is all Rotorway parts.  I did not take pictures of the parts as most of them are boxed.

All documentation is there and included, including all build manuals.  (Build manual didn’t make it into the photo of the books as I am currently reading it.)

I can make the kit available for inspections most weekday mornings between 9:30 and 10:30, CST.  It is located in St. Louis (city) Missouri.   Shipping is up to the buyer but I can and will reasonably help pack and ship this kit and have a forklift on site to put it in a truck.  I will crate the parts at extra cost to the buyer for crating materials only (I will not charge for labor).  Several Rotorway crates are still on hand.

Airframe has been media blasted and painted semi-gloss white in DuPont two-part epoxy paint.  Airframe is approximately 7 feet tall while placed on the dolly.  Dolly is very rigid and quite nice for rolling the airframe around and standing on while working and is included in the purchase price.  Email me with questions and if you seem like a serious buyer I will email back with my phone number if you want to talk in person. 

Bid only if you are serious and have the money!  You are not bidding to
come look at the kit and decide if you want it.  Do not bid if you have
scrape up the money or get a loan for it.

If the kit is not sold I will probably not relist it.  The only reason I am selling it is I have too many projects and not enough space.  Your deposit of $500 is due within the stated timeframe and is not refundable.
