ALRIGHT YOU ASKED FOR IT SO HERE IT IS…NO RESERVE AUCTION ON MY HELICOPTER!! PLEASE FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME FOR ANY REASON AT ALL VIA TEXT OR PHONE 801-721-5130 OR EMAIL HEAVYDSPARKS@GMAIL.COM
Here it is. A Rotorway 162f helicopter with 190 original hours. This kit was purchased in 98 and assembled and given an airworthiness cert in 2001. It was assembled and flown in California by John Spurling and a partner. The tail number was registered by John Spurling. He chose 162 since it was the model of the new kit at that time from Rotorway (162F) The F stands for the fadec system. http://www.rotorway.com/fadec.html
John Spurling is the owner of Pro Drive Inc. That’s the cog belt system. http://www.flyapro.com/ This is the system in the ship. http://www.flyapro.com/MainRotorDrive.htm The ship also has the EZ start clutch system from Pro Drive. Its allows for electronic engagement of the rotors vs. manual as the kit comes. http://www.flyapro.com/EZ%20Start%20Clutch.htm
The main rotor blades are from Waitman. They are Composite blades.
Avionics are standard, bendix etc.
This is an experimental aircraft and is 100% built and ready to fly. Of course I wouldn’t put it in the air until I changed fluids, belts, and went through tthe systems as it hasn’t flown in 2 yrs. The ship runs on premium pump gas which is much cheaper than AV gas as well. The nice thing about helicopters is that you can take off and land from anywhere that you have have permission from the land owner and where you can safely do so without putting surrounding people/buildings in harms way. This is, in my opinion, the very best way to get into helicopters. These kits new sell for over 90k and that is not assembled or any extras! This will be a steal for somebody. All manuals that came with it new are also included.
The ship does need about $300 worth of fiberglass on minor stress cracks on the tail wings, or just replace the them. I have seen new ones for sale for 400 for the pair so not a big deal. They are held on by 2 bolts and take about 5 minutes to swap.
There is a conversion kit for this ship that turns it into a turbine engine for about 20k. If it doesn’t sell in this ebay auction I will be converting it to turbine engine and selling for 90k.
I am also including a custom built trailer that the heli is currently sitting on with rotors removed and ready for transport. It is the trailer in the pictures. It only has about 2000 miles on it and tows very nicely with electric brakes and newer tires.
I will assist in shipping this ship to anywhere in the world, not saying I will pay for it, but I will work hand in hand with you to get this ship where you want it. I know alot of great logistics people who can move this ship. I may personally deliver it anywhere in the U.S. for the right buyer.
I am easy and open to talk to and look forward to hearing from you. I have the heli listed locally for sale or trade so I do reserve the right to end auction early if the right offer or trade comes along.
